You're going to need a bigger boat
After completing a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, with a focus in popular romance fiction and gender studies, I decided to explore my love of knowledge and research further through a second master's degree in Library and Information Science.
Outside of the classroom, I am a Board Relations Strategist for the University of Chicago and a volunteer Reference Administrator/Specialist for the ipl2 and Invertebrates Reprint Librarian for The Field Museum.
I live in Chicago, IL with my two cats, an extensive horror movie collection, and a large library of books.
My Philosophy Statement
As an Information Professional I believe:
- in the freedom of information,
- that our future will be shaped by technology so we must embrace all that it has to offer,
- in the importance of collaboration, organization, and dissemination of information, and
- that an information professional is both a gatekeeper and a tour guide, able to open new doors and showcase exciting worlds.
